Wayuu Mochila Purses

Wayuu Mochila Purses are made by the artisans of the women-led Wayuu Indigenous Group.  Each bag is purchased on a fair trade basis by Hands of Colombia directly from the Artisan. 

Fair Trade is important to us because artisans spend up to 14 days on each bag, depending on the complexity of its design, and the Wayuu mochila purse's strap.   

For each Wayuu mochila bag purchased, Hands of Colombia donates thread to Wayuu Indigenous Artisans.  Learn more about our Thread Giving Program here.
