Combining the unique patterns of the Wayuu Indigenous Group with the elegance of leather, this Leather Clutch is exclusive to Hands of Colombia's TRIBAL + LEATHER collection.
The Rubiela Handmade Leather Clutch has its own journey before it makes it to you. First, Hands of Colombia travels Colombia's remote Guajira Desert in search of the most talented Wayuu Indigenous Artisans. Each hand-embroidered pattern is purchased directly from the Wayuu artisan on a fair-trade basis.
Hands of Colombia then works with a family-run leather shop in Bogotá, Colombia to produce our TRIBAL + LEATHER clutches in small batches, and to ensure the quality of our product.
This clutch has a copper zipper and interior liner for protection, and is made complete with its signature handmade leather tassel.
Size - 11.5 inches x 7 inches. 6 inch strap.
Thread Giving Program - for each Leather Clutch purchased, Hands of Colombia will donate three skeins of thread to artisans of the Wayuu Indigenous Group.

Our objective: the money we use to buy our products is received by the same hands that make them. By avoiding middle-men and distributors, we do not only conscientiously source our items, but also help sustain indigenous traditions and art.
Fair Trade Statement - The pattern on each clutch was purchased by Hands of Colombia directly from a Wayuu Artisan, and the leatherwork was done by a family-run leather shop in Bogotá, Colombia, one of Hands of Colombia's partners.
Hands of Colombia purchases only from artisans directly, and never from middle-men or distributors. Our purchase prices reflect not only the time and dedication required to make the item, but also the years of practice perfecting a craft and our respect for that experience.
